Moving companies

Does anyone have any recommendations? We'll be moving in a few weeks and are starting to shop around for reputable companies. I've never hired movers before so I'm kinda clueless to it all- any help would be appreciated!

I have a similar request so instead of starting another thread I'll ask here:

There is a new service that drops off a container at your house. You fill it up with your belongings, they pick it up and deliver to your new address. If you need to store it for awhile no problem.

I'm moving from Dallas to Austin and want to do this. However, I called PODS and they are fully booked throughout the summer. I tried another service called doortodoor.com AKA citytocity.com. After repeated calls I finally got a less than cheery reply back with a quote for $1400. That's almost what a full-service mover quoted, packing included.

Does anyone know of any other companies offering this service between Dallas and Austin? I really want to store my stuff for a month before unloading it in Austin and this sounds like the perfect option.
