Moving an HDTV

So I bought a Rear Projection HDTV a couple of years ago, and I decided to throw out the box because that thing was massive. Now I'm getting ready to move, and don't know how to find a box for it. I do have all the styrofoam for it, just no box. I tried talking to the people at the big electronics stores and they were no help.

Would I have any luck going to UHaul or UPSStore type places? Should I just go dumpster diving behind Best Buy some night? Any other suggestions?

BTW, this is a Panasonic 47" if that helps.

Thanks

I've got another question on this one. The wife and I are moving apartments and I've got a 34" tv that weighs 166 lbs. We're trying to decide between movers and doing it ourselves, well, to be specific, my brother and I would be moving the TV. Has anyone done this? I don't have the box or anything. We would have to go down, but not up, a set of stairs.

i have a 36" that is about 180 lbs. it is a ***** to move, i'll tell you that. that being said, it has been moved 7-8 times in the last 5 years and only once by professionals. never had an incident until the latest move, but always swore after every move that i'd never move it again. you can probably do it yourself, but assuming you're moving somewhere close i think it's worth the $200-$250 that it'll cost for the movers to do everything for you.

I have a 32" TV that had the base and front speaker cover cracked by movers and they used blankets. Be careful.

That's what I'm worried about RE: movers. A buddy of mine hired some movers and they ended up breaking his 36". I figure I may be better for the job, if only because its my TV and I care enough to be careful with it. But, as said before, I've been involved in the moving of a lighter 32" and that was pretty hellish.

we're getting a new TV soon and I told my friend he could HAVE my 36" if he could carry it out on his own.
