Close Encounters of the Third Kind (fun popcorn movie when i saw it as a kid. When i see it as an adult, i marvel at the storytelling and craft that went into it)

Requiem for a Dream (watching the added documentary on the DVD made me realize just how much thought Aronofsky put into every frame and shot of that movie.

Used Cars (ok, i just saw it last night, and laughed and laughed. I probably hadn't seen it in 15 years. I watch it and can't believe not a lot of people know about it)

Actually, I did not love it at first...I liked it, but thought it was overrated. Boy, was I wrong. It gets better and better every time I view it. I wonder if Gran Torino will be the same way?
