I need ideas for movie clips that show classroom rules (science class) or classroom concepts. Examples: Harry Potter 1, the scene where Hermione keeps raising her hand to answer questions in Snape's class, and when Seamus does a spell and it blows up in his face (wear goggles) or from 61* when Maris sacrifice bunts a runner over instead of swinging away and the press criticizes him (teamwork). I am sure there are a few more, like Ferris Bueller, but am drawing a blank. Thanks for any ideas!

The Substitute. One can learn many good things, such as, not using school property to distribute heroin and to not mess with Tom Berenger. Plus it all takes place in a classroom, so double bonus.

There was the time that my "bottle pop" methanol ran out during our Chemistry Magic Show (performed in front of ~100 third graders), so I borrowed some ethanol. Tesla coiled the electrode, no pop. Darn. I think to myself, "Schindler, the lower vapor pressure of the ethanol, coupled with its longer carbon chain, means that its reaction coefficient is too low in room air. But if I fill the bottle with oxygen from that tank over there, the reaction will become self sustaining and the kids will be thrilled. Even at 18, I am wise."

As I stumbled out of the building, disoriented with my ears still ringing, I thought to myself "Schindler, you may not be as smart as you think that you are."

That's not a movie clip, but it's a useful concept.
