Mountain Hardwear Jacket

I just got the Ozone jacket for men. It is nice. Very lightweight but blocks out most wind. I got it online for $75. Any other Mountain Hardwear users?

I got both. North Face fleece has been my trusty companion for 9 years. MH fleece only 2 years, it's got a long way to go to catch up to the North Face. For all the crap that NF gets for being trendy, it has been excellent quality and durability.

I recently bought a mountain hardwear backpack to carry my laptop and gym stuff to work . Its working out pretty good. Although I have a north face fleece, skiing jacket, running shirts, and fleece gloves... I think given teh opportunity at the same price, Id buy Mountain Hardwear or Patagonia every single time over North Face.

I like MHW stuff. I've got a backpack and it's great. But when it comes to clothing (and really anything) I don't think you can beat Arc'Teryx.

i also love the patagonia fleeces. They are not quite as expensive, and i've had one for 6 years and it' still warm and comfortable. It's a half button down

I think pretty much all fleece/pile is made by the same company, Malden Mills.

I think that pretty much all fleece/ Ski Jackets/ Clothes... as far as the brands we are discussing ( Patagoia, Marmot, North Face, Mountain Hardwear) are of equal quality and at a very similar price point for a similar article of clothing. North Face items just seem easier to come by on sale, which is why have more NF than any of the other brands discussed. It really comes down to whether one prefers the more popular or slightly more obscure label. I prefer to opt fir the slightly lesss popular... but its hard not to buy the one that is on sale.

I use a Mountain Hardwear softshell for skiing and really cold days (doesn't get much use in houston). it's burnt orange, so at least i fit in down here. i love it.

I have a trusty north face windstopper fleece (thin fleece) that works under most situations.

if i could buy any brand of gear though, i would generally go Marmot. they seem to makes some good stuff, but it's expensive. Columbia definitely gives you the most bang for your buck, imho.
