Man. That makes them look even worse. Wonder if Belichick was in on it?

That being said, the Pro Bowl is the biggest waste of time/money/talent in sports. The NFL just needs to ditch it, name an NFC and AFC all-pro team, and be done with it. It isn't a big deal to go to Hawaii anymore, and it isn't worth the potential for injuries. Lame, lame lame, if you ask me.
 
well it probably is because of his ankle injury but why wouldn't the patriots just say because he's injured....that's a legit reason..instead they release the "we don't know why" quote...

so, maybe you know but the patriots don't? come on
 
Yeah, if they weren't going to play, they should have said so before choking in the Super Bowl. There may be legitimate injury issues, but they look bad no matter what now.
 
If I had just blew a perfect season with a superbowl loss, I sure wouldn't want to go to the damn probowl. There are better things to do, especially if you have a supermodel girlfriend.
 
Seriously? People are questioning this? Unreal. Almost everyone pulls out of the Pro Bowl, ESPECIALLY if they have any type of injury. I would expect a lot more to drop out before it is said and done.

As it is was mentioned before, the Pro Bowl is nothing more than a scrimmage anyway and a way for players to earn more money on their paycheck.

I understand the fact that they should show, but this will allow others to have a chance as well.
 
Yeah it happens all the time..people drop out especially if they've been to a couple...it's a pain the *** for them to go....I just like beating on them because they come across so cocky and arrogant. I didn’t want the Giants to win but I wanted smug *** Belichick and Brady Mr “we’ll only score 17???” to lose more.
 
I agree name the all-pro team and then have some skills challenges in Hawaii that are fun and promotional for athletes. I would rather flip to ESPN to see a bunch guys in skill competitions and linemen in strength competitions, competing and having fun, than a half assed football game where no one cares.
 
I agree its a waste of time. Instead of the Pro Bowl, they should have the worst NFL team play the college national champion so we can settle the debate once and for all.
 
I thought Moss Brady was a blues singer. I've spent many Saturday nights drinking Night Train and grooving to my old Moss Brady 78 rpms. Why would he go to the Pro Bowl?
 
Only a handful of NFL rookies make a significant impact, and that's generally skill players as opposed to those on the line. Even college teams chock full of NFL talent like the best USC and Miami teams still only have a minority of players make the League. Throw in the complexity of NFL playbooks and it's even more of a disparity between the two teams.

The starters of the best college teams would be manhandled by NFL backups.
