More win diet for Restrepo

Gregory was jammin’ for the Big XII opener. The populace turned out and howled, especially during rallies. Per Elliot, let’s keep it at 4K and up, Austin.

I guess Oklahoma is our big rival now, and, you know, we love it when Restrepo cuts up. He did not disappoint. Late in set 1, with the Horns up big, he brought his team in for some kind of infinite time-out, or book-club, or something. It wasn’t a serious strategy session, ‘cause his players were laughing. He was prolly going “Look at ole Elliott over there blowing a gasket while we chill.” Meanwhile the ref goes yellow card, red card, and Restrepo’s like, didn’t you see me signal the 2nd time-out, winky winky, and sold this to the refs, so no red card. This mess-around didn’t mess with the Horns mind-set, who wrapped the romp, 25-18.

Bailey was uppin’. She kept topping the 6’4” Okie middle, who was like “Whut?” Hey, she can figure it out in tomorrow’s film sesh, if LHN used high altitude cameras and super slo mo.

Sha’Dare had eight blocks before the break? Fuhggedaboutit. Unstoppable on the slide, upping bombs Kisner-style, and dang close to a triple double. Epic night.

I like these frosh McCage and Brooks, you can see they got game. Dalton highlighted by bringing up a massive blast, but didn’t set.

I guess the 6-2 is toast, which is fine, especially when the team animates for .365. Thirteen blocks is stellar, especially given that Okie’s game plan included pushing the pace & location on the attack. We got ‘em anyhow.

Time will tell if this crew lights the tower orange, or maybe even puts that number up on it. Meanwhile, looks like we’re gonna have a fun ride.
