More SBC Yahoo DSL Questions

I'm thinking about ordering SBC Yahoo DSL - the Express package for $26.95/month that's supposedly 384 kbps-1.5 mbps.

My questions:

1. Do any of you have this service?
2. If so, does the actual speed tend do be more toward the 384 kbps or the 1.5 Mbps?
3. Is this service good enough to watch streaming video without it always buffering and looking grainy?

Thanks!

The streaming quality will be greatly improved over dial-up, assuming that's what you're using now. Keep in mind that the source material in streaming video usually isn't so great to begin with, and that a less than robust PC will slow things down as well.

My home here in NW Austin was built in 1975, and I get 1.2-1.3k download speeds consistantly on the same service plan as you mention.

How do you know what speeds you are obtaining? I have had SBC Yahoo DSL for 3 years, and it works fine for me. But, then, as you can surmise from my question, I have no idea how fast it is.

1.4 in Dallas, and way less downtime than my old cable modem. Can't beat having everything on one bill too - I have SBC Dish Network as well...
