More proof that some people should not reproduce.

Why don't they wait for the baby to throw up its first gang sign and go from there??

I guess it would be a good idea to avoid that hollywood video store....i thought it was against the law to belong to a gang, i beliee it is in LA.

Gang affiliation is supposed to be carried through the generations by mothers. So, the baby should claim the Crips. What's the problem here?

We should actually be very worried, as this child could be the bridge between these 2 gangs. When he grows up, he will have a stake in both gangs, and instead of choosing sides (thus alienating one of his parents.. or their legacy should one of them be deceased) he completes the inconceivable task of merging the two gangs, to form one supergang that dominates the city, and soon eventually, then entire tri-county area. It will be a great movie.

I gotta say , the thing that surprised me the most in the article was that this happened where one of them worked. I didn't think any gang members had a real job... times must be tough for the Crips.

This whole thing is stupid and there is no need to fight.

One option is the child can use both the mother and father's name separated by a hyphen.

The boy can grow up as little Johnny Crips-Ballers.

Or, he can choose to honor his father's Spanish descent and still keep both last names by going the route of little Johnny Crips de la Ballers.

There ya go. Problem solved - one big happy family.

I'm surprised you haven't found the obvious answer. They will have more kids, so 1/2 can be in each gang. Maybe 5 and 5, so there will be no dissention in the happy home.
