More pop up ad questions

My google popup blocker doesn't seem as effective as it used to be. Also, any time I do a search or update my McAfee, I get a full screen pop up ad that says "are you looking for _____" and contains links to 6-8 products. How do I stop this crap? Spybot doesn't seem to be affecting it.

You really need to use about 6 additional programs to be 'safe'.

Spybot
Adaware
Bazooka
CWShredder
HijackThis
(whatever else is working)
At least one anti-virus program.

Make sure you update all before running them. Not to mention there are some programs that are just impossible to remove without some intense manual investigation.
