More Glaring Errors--Baylor game

Too many list. A continuing theme is lack of discipline. I actually continued watching knowing it had gotten to about 1000-1 to pull out the game when it got to 24-3. But when we got the back to back personal fouls to seal the game, I stopped watching. I thought Sam was pretty much the hero of the game up until he severely under threw a sure TD pass for an interception that could have made the game (more)competitive. I find it amazing that Baylor's football program has seeming now leapfrogged our program after being a dead program just a few years ago.

We were getting pressure from a 3 man front and our running game(other than QB) looked pathetic (up until they had a big lead and started letting us run). Been following the horns for around 60 years, and this is definitely a painful year. I didn't have expectations for a season like last year, but I did not expect a total cratering. This year we had a lot of rebuilding to do on the defense, and then we got a lot of injuries as well. To some degree when you have recruited several top 5 classes, your guys should be able to step up and play decently when the front line is injured.

Now, I'm afraid we will end the season with a losing record (6-7). We've already lost the good will we got from last years successful season and now we risk losing all recruiting momentum to other more successful Big 12 coaches. Sadly, we could have easily lost 2 more games (KU escape, OSU). What is frightening is I see nothing to hang your hat on, to be positive about in this years performance. We have seemingly gotten worse throughout the season and don't learn from mistakes.

I pray somehow we find the will, coaching, and execution to win out the rest of our games (we could end up 8-5). To me it is imperative that we do so, because anything less could be devastating to recruiting.
