Monthly NYC Restaurant Suggestion

Heading back to New York City for a second annual long weekend with my wife in three weeks. Last year we ate at Spice Market and Atlantic Grill on the UES. Both were fantastic. Gonna head over to Brooklyn to see if Peter Lugar's is all that. Would like recommendations for a Chinese and another seafood for other nights. We're staying up around 79th and Amsterdam this time.

For high end seafood Oceana is excellent.

Make sure to get at least one order of bacon at Lugers. Get steak for 2 (rare or medium rare), and one or 2 side dishes.

Chinese - Joe's Shanghai down on Pell st. just west of bowery. Forget the adress. Get an order of the soupy pork buns.

Seafood - Mermaid inn on 2nd Ave b/t 5th and 6th. Get reservations, get the Lobster roll and the Skate. Pork Chop is ridiculously good too. hmmm...might need to go there tonight.

go to Zabar's at 80th and broadway for lunch. it's a gourmet NYC deli/grocery store and they make the best sandwiches. i like to take em over to the riverside park, or you could head towards central park. also on that block is H&H bagels, excellent for breakfast.
