Looks like we're in the running as one of the schools she'd consider transferring to:

If she is really considering leaving California, we stand as good a shot as anyone else.

Remember, she played in Las Vegas up until to her senior year in high school, and then transferred to Long Beach Poly. She played summer ball with Ashley Gayle on West Coast Elite.

I'll be watching for any Oliver news, as well as any Gilbreath news, as well . . .

She seems to be close to the Gilbreath sisters . . . and she'll be listed on Sunday's Parade All-American magazine as a second-teamer, I believe

I hope we have a good shot at getting Oliver. I've been anxious about this since the announcement of Trakh leaving USC!!!!
 
At least Texas is a lot closer to CA than Rutgers and Maryland. Were we a serious contender before she signed with USC? It sounds like she was set on USC from an early age so it makes you wonder if she really even considered any of the other schools.

That would be huge if we got her at this point. Maybe the fact that Hill and Bone were looking at us will make Oliver give us a closer look as well. She knows she will likely get playing time here and Rutgers has already lost two of their highly touted freshmen, which one would think she would have to wonder about.

I saw here in the WBC game and she really pursues the ball. Her style of play was very aggressive.
 
I think it would be difficult for Oliver to play for another PAC 10 team considering that she has always been a USC fan. Let's hope that she doesn't want to play for a USC rival and heads out of state.

I think she and her parents would love Austin. Why move to the east coast where it is much colder during the winter? They are accustomed to warm weather having lived in Vegas and LA.
 
We were on Oliver's list of finalists before she picked USC. I remember (with 85% certainty, don't have time to look it up) that we were one of maybe 4 schools. It would be huge to get her. I think she is generally thought of as being right up there with Reed in ability. I haven't seen much tape, but in the little bit I saw she looked aggressive and quick.
 
According the Rutgers board, Monique is visiting there this weekend. Appears to have set up visits with Texas and Maryland, as well . . .
 
Okay, when did Texas become loaded with inside players as noted on the Rutgers board?

Rumor has it that Monique will be on her official visit to Texas this weekend. Hopefully, she'll be able to experience some our college pageantry at the UT vs A&M baseball game on Saturday . . .
 
I would be so psyched if we got her. I just read the blurb about her on hoopgurlz. I think she, Cokie, and Ashley would be a very imposing trio.
 
She would have provided excellent depth to the Horns frontcourt. Still, Ashley, Cokie, Earnie and the Nash sisters will provide a solid frontcourt.
