Monica Crowley...the newest Jayson Blair?

Monica Crowley's book was pulled from sales today by Harper Collins. CNN found 50 examples of plagiarism in her best selling book What the (Bleep) just happened. Then Politico reports that parts of her dissertation at Columbia University were plagiarized. Now CNN has found examples of multiple Washington Times columns that were plagiarized from various sources.

It's been a bad week for Monica. At the very least she appears to be well read if not well written. Somebody clearly has it out for her because her career should be over after all these examples. This is going back a long ways. What happened to editors catching this crap?

I dont think anyone cares much about Crowley. I dont.

I have never been quite sure how she has been able to secure so many financially lucrative TV gigs over the years. She is neither particularly insightful or bright, IMO. The only thing I know about her is that she knew Richard Nixon personally. Somehow she parlayed that into the role of an expert.

And, in any event, plagiarism claims may not be the end. They were not for Joe Biden.

I care as much about Monica Crowley as I cared about Jayson Blair. That's zero for both. I'm more astonished that someone can advance as far as they did in their career with such a volume and breadth of plagiarism.

In another plagiarism case, the new Ghana President decided he'd steal from Bill Clinton and George W. Bush for his recent inauguration speech.

For anyone tempted to plagiarize, please know that turnitin.com exists. Anyone can put in any text and it will scant that text against a vast database of texts to give a rating on whether it was plagiarized. My sons have been asked to turn in their homework to this site since middle school. My wife, a middle school teacher, has caught many a student plagiarizing sources and copying off each other.
