I bet he is wishing he had taken that 3rd round money out of HS though. Hopefully he gets more PT next year and puts together a great season. It would be a shame to see him fall that far off the radar.
He dislocated a knee cap in the regional at Rice last year and had to have surgery to repair it. He missed out on summer and fall ball, so he was really at a disadvantage coming into this season. Maybe a full offseason will get him back into form.
Yeah, he's a pretty polished hitter. He batted in the neighborhood of .355 last year. I just hope for his sake that he gets some of that back. Don't know what kind of first baseman he would be, but he might be a good replacement for Belt, since he's likely to take his 5th round money and run.
