Mock Drafts...nfl.com

Now that it is April and the combine has come and gone, the college pro days have come and gone, and individual workouts are underway, the mock drafts are starting to sort themselves out. Here are a few:

Pat Kirwan

#20 Limas Sweed - Tampa Bay

Vic Carucci

#21 Limas Sweed - Redskins

According to these mocks there are going to be some good WR's available in the early 2nd round.

Wondering if Miami will actually draft the #1 or trade down. Wonder if it would be possible for them to trade down a few spots with Falcons, Chiefs, or Jets who would throw in their top 2nd round pick...then Miami could trade both of it's 2nd round picks for the top Dallas 1st round pick.

I think it's just to difficult to get fair value for the number 1 pick in any year. I was shocked when there wasn't a deal made with the Texans for their top pick, and that draft, to me at least, was a lot more intriguing at the top. So I guess I'd be surprised if someone made a legitimate play to get the Fins' pick this year.

At the same time, I think any chance you get to add players in the first and second round should receive serious consideration. Even if it doesn't sound equitable to fans, most teams in that spot need players asap. You're usually picking first for a reason, and that 1 pick at the top isn't typically going to solve all your problems.

Both Kiper and Mayock have neither Sweed nor Kelly being drafted in the 1st round.

Devin Thomas has rocketed up their draft boards. Mayock has D. Jackson and M. Manningham being picked late first.

Mike Mayock

Here is Mayock's. As mentioned no Sweed or Kelley in 1st round and I just don't see that happening. Not many drafts have Ryan as #1 or #2 and he seems to he the only QB worth getting this year and could end up being a franchise guy. I could see a team jumping up a spot or two to get him but don't think that kind of move would involve other picks maybe just another switch in the 2nd round or something.

To me Glen Dorsey, Jake Long, and Matt Ryan are the top 3 guys on the board. Depending on need youc an take one of these 3 and get mileage out of that pick. Raiders could use McFadden but if Dallas were willing to trade I would think they would be better off getting 2 picks in 1st round. They could probably still get Stewart, Mendenhall (probably gone by then though), or Jones, plus a top WR with the other pick.

I think it all depends on what MK runs tomorrow if he is a 1st round pick.
I see no way Sweed isn't drafted in the 1st especially if Kelly drops out after a bad time or something.

Since73,

Did Kelly ever have a big game catch like the one Sweed had in '05 at the 'shoe?

How about that one handed, over the head, bomb pass catch against Baylor?

Betcha Sweed goes a little ahead of Kelly.

And yes, Kelly is very good also.
