MO going to blow up Big 12 calm?

I can't imagine the SEC inviting Missouri into their conference. Especially considering that no other conference wants them.

Hell, let's all go play in the SEC. Make it a 64-team conference.

With the exception of one good year and a couple better than average ones, MO at best would be a bottom feeder in the $EC... I don't get their mentality on a move like that! Stranger things have happened, but go figure...

Missouri is a bottom feeder in the Big 12. They have a medoicre football team, and their athletic department as a whole is absolutely awful. They're a mid major in a AQ conference.

A quality football team is not a requirement to join the SEC, as evidenced by the, uh...hrrmp...the sheep humpers.

Hook'em!!!

They were fodder in the Big 7, Big 8 and Big 12. What makes them want to be Vandy II? And after all of these years claiming that they had a "standing invitation" to the Big 10.

The SEC is top heavy. They don't need to add any more heavyweights. They need footprint and TV sets. Missouri makes a lot of sense in that regard.

Missouri has been threatening to leave the Big XII since it was formed. Yet, they have not even been to a top tier bowl since the 1969 season, and they haven't won a top tier bowl game since who knows when, if ever. Their only chance for a BCS invitation was 2007, and they were passed by for Kansas because of weak fan support. Kansas fans barely acknowledge football as it is, so Missouri's fans must be perceived as very lame.

Good.

It will force all remaining B12 to go into the great unknown.

B1G is focusing on two teams and two teams only. Missouri is not one of them. MO knows this.

MO is quite serious about the SEC. As well they should be.

They say that their sick of all the bickering of the Big XII, yet they need to look in the mirror and realize that they are a huge source of it. All of this acrimony started when they flirted with the B1G behind everyone's back. And it turned out the B1G used Mizzou to get to Nebraska.

It also doesn't help in being a part of the committee to expand the Big XII while at the same time sneaking around with other conferences behind our back.

This would be allsome. The SEC is already getting worse by adding Aggy. This could make them downright average. It doesn't matter how many TV's they have if the product sucks and they seem to be trying hard to dillute that thing.

To say "the SEC is already getting worse by adding Aggy" is a stretch. I'm glad A&M is leaving but the SEC is hardly a loser in luring A&M. A&M brings an estimated fan base of over 2 million, a stadium that seats over 80,000, the Houston and Dallas TV markets, football history, passion and tradition.
Missouri brings a 1 million+ fan base and the No. 21 TV market in St. Louis and the No. 31 market in Kansas City (but those markets probably care more about major league baseball and pro football than college football).
