I know there have technically been a couple of games already, but today is the real opening day and I couldn't be more excited. I just hope the Cubs get off to a good start.

Cubs?

Cubs = delayed ...

We re-scheduled our trip to Wrigley that was supposed to be this upcoming weekend ... afraid weather would wipe out the games.

Most Rangers fans I know are anticipating anywhere from 75-90 wins, all depending on injuries.

I know its been said the last few years but i really am excited about the next few years. Our farm system has some very solid prospects. I think Daniels is doing this the right way. Now, if he pulls some boneheaded move trading our young guys for some veteran I'll change my mind.

Fukodome looked pretty good in his opening game 3-3, 2b, HR, BB...his HR came in the bottom of the 9th with 2 on down by 3...glad I drafted this kid in my fantasy league

Here's a Rangers fan that once again carries the motto, " With spring, hope is eternal." I expect their offense to be better. As usual pitching is the key. Beginning of season can't be any worse than last year - no where to go but up.

And here's to Brad Whifferson being in the opposing dugout on Opening Day.

Fireworks early with Milton Bradley. Was hit in the foot on a 2-2 count and ran to 1B, but HP Ump didn't see it that way. Milton never said a word, but Ron Washington was out to argue it. Play proceeded and next pitch was ball 4 and Bradley whipped his bat back toward the Ranger dugout. That pissed off the ump too - thought he might throw out Bradley - but had 2nd lengthy conference with Washington. Would have been first time I ever saw someone thrown out that never said a word or even look at the ump.

Rangers showing patience vs Bedard - 77 pitches thru 3 innings.

I love the Rangers. Why do I get the feeling that Whifferson will KILL us all season long? Thats what happens with the Rangers...their former players do well at other places.

Hi, 69 - great to be here again for another season of Texas Rangers baseball! Where are the rest of the Ranger zealots today? I brewed up a batch of special Opening Day mojo for the Rangers, and so far it's working very well. Milwood is pitching extremely well. Might be a bit early to order World Series tickets, but a nice start on Opening Day.

Millwood had a nice start but Fukumori is struggling. 5-1 Seattle still in the 7th.

Fukumori's line: .1IP, 2H, 2BB, 2WP, 3ER...and has the runner at 2nd also tagged to him. Welcome to the big leagues.

Football pwns baseball and basketball is more exciting. But to me, baseball really is the beginning of the sports year. It's gonna go on well into football season. Call me nostalgic and no, I won't watch every game, but baseball has a special place in my heart.

My first experience with MLB was with the Astros. I saw Mike Scott, Jose Cruz and company in the 80's. But for some reason I have always hated the Astros. I just can't root for them. I like the Rangers cause I always root for the underdog. When i lived in Dallas a few years ago I went to most of the home games. It was awesome.

As always, you can expect three things from the Rangers, as we saw tonight:

1) Lots of K's from their hitters
2) Unclutch hitting
3) Unclutch pitching/defense

Millwood pitched a very nice game; however, they could not score runs for him even though they got a lot of runners on base. Wow, everything I read on Fuku was very positive...this is only his first appearance, but it was ugly for him tonight.

I could be wrong, but it does not bode well tomorrow night with King Felix vs. Padilla.

Rangers fan here. If they exceed 75 wins, I'll be surprised. The highlight of the season will be Josh Hamilton...he's going to be what Laynce Nix should've been.
