This confirms we will be facing some talented pitching in the CWS. In our side of the bracket we could end up facing Mike Leake from Arizona St (8th overall) and Alex White from UNC (15th overall). UNC also had the 2nd overall pick in Dustin Ackley.

Nice to see some kids from Texas get drafted in the first round. I believe there were 5 of them.

I would be very surprised to see Leake or White. They will probably be facing each other Sunday afternoon.

A local UT signee from Austin McCallum was drafted in the second round. Sorry I don't remember his name.

Everything I get from Mier is that he has signability issues, and I don't see anything on Bushue.

Only Belt and Wood got drafted and we expected them to be gone anyway.

Good luck to both of them. Man I am shocked Wood was taken in the 5th round, that 12 1/3rd inning game made him alot of money.

We could still see one of these guys very easily. Leake didn't start today for ASU and since White went in game 1, it's possible we could also see him in a later game. Game 2 could be tough for the Horns.
