Mizzou Pitcher is Unreal ... Aaron Crow

Tiger ace, and Friday night starter, has 42+ consecutive innings of scoreless ball piled up ... that's right, nothing allowed in the last six weeks.

So I ask, refusing to believe he can shut us out, what inning do we break the streak ?

I'd like Kyle to break it in style with a 450 ft bomb down the RF line. But more importantly, I'd like to come home from Columbia with a series win.

Should be great baseball this weekend.

Remember that Super against Cougar High a few years ago? After offending the baseball gods with a dogpile after winning game #1, they brought in their ace closer to save the rubber game. The dude had a 0.0 ERA...but not for long...

"Offending the baseball Gods" ? Even worse ... they offended Jeff Ontiveros.

I remember Jeff standing on the 1st base line pointing and shouting at UH as they clowned like they had won the CWS. Stupid Coogs. Mudhole ensued.

Great, great series.

Crow has been off the charts this year. I'm really looking forward to this series. I'm sure Augie will have the Horns ready to go considering what happened in Austin last year and in Columbia the year before. As a Missouri fan, I'm looking forward to the weather being in the 40s and 50s this weekend, it might give a Northern team the advantage.

There are some discrepancies over what the record is as it's not officially kept by the NCAA but he appears to be an inning away from the Division 1 record of 43 by Eddie Bane of Arizona State and 12 innings away from the NCAA record of 54 by Kyle Jones of SIU-Edwardsville.

Records are made to be broken; and those non-Longhorns who would try to break them are made to be stopped.

I hope our guys packed their hitting shoes.

Van's mostly packed, including the biggest Texas Flag in the Midwest, our horns and most of the same winter gear we wore for that festive snow shower during our 2006 football game in Lincoln.
