I'm not voting for either candidate as I believe we now have systemic corruption and neither candidate works for "we the people." I've made earlier posts referencing articles on leveraged buyouts (i.e. vulture capitalism); how the process that made Romney wealthy has nothing to do with growing the economy or domestic job creation.

Earlier this week an excerpt from David Stockman's new book elaborated on the topic (see Newsweek article).

Now, journalist Greg Palast describes Romney's exploitation of the US funded bailout of the auto industry.

Two jobs I had disappeared directly because of W and governor goodhair.

Since Obama, my phone never stops ringing from headhunters.

The economy is better under Obama than W and Mitt is just W 2.0.
 
I had the reverse situation from Burnt Orangeman.

After graduating from UT in Dec '05, I was able to find nice, long, good paying jobs every year in 06, 07, and 08.

Since Obama, the contract jobs I have gotten are now very short and pay little.
I get calls and emails for headhunters too. But they aren't worth much.
I'm a web designer living in Dallas.

I want to go back to 06-08, when W was in office, again. I want my great contract jobs back.
 
Glad to hear someone is prospering in this economy. Many IT jobs have been outsourced to foreign countries.

Just what specifically did Bush and Perry do to cost you jobs that Obama changed? Just curious for specifics...
 
Perry declined stimulus money so that Texas could enjoy their God given right to teach kids that the earth is 5000 years old.

In 2008 when the economy imploded the company I worked for which had been around for 10 years closed its doors.

I sincerely hope the other gentleman who is having trouble finds the job he wants regardless of who wins the election.
 
I fail to see anything that has stopped education as you state. And the economy imploding in 2008 is hardly the fault of one person, especially GWB.

The sub prime mortgage and other credit issues were the cause of the economy imploding. I think Bush did little to prevent it, but the economic problems were caused by both parties lacking financial discipline like rejecting borrowing money to pay for programs that are not needed. See "good hair" rejecting stimulus money. Just curious, how does the state of Texas economy compare to every other state?
 
Bevo, how did the Romneys make money from the bailout? I am not sure what you are referencing.
