Missing Work Ain't All That ...

So I caught a legit case of Bronchitis this week ... and I type this at 5 am, the 3rd straight night I haven't been able to sleep due to the pain and coughing.

This will also be the 3rd day of missed work, but perhaps the only occasion I remember where I'd rather be at work instead of at home sick. It's that bad.

Every time I cough I can feel Baby Jesus cry. My body aches like I just finished getting my *** kicked by a gang of rogue midgets. My back is stiff from laying in bed for so long.

So I ask you, aside from disease/broken bones, when is the last time you were so sick that you couldn't even enjoy your mini-vacation ? I never knew this was possible.

I think I'm coming down with it. started feeling bad on monday and every morning I feel progressively worse, now I'm starting to develop a cough and it hurts.

I feel like I swallowed a krusty-o's.
 
Well, I'm in school but classes don't start back up until Monday. The restaurant I worked at closed down last week. Soooo. I've been home all week. I don't like it. I'm kind of the hyperactive sort. I don't like sitting around. I can only watch so much TV.
Today. My project is to clean the house from baseboard to ceiling. Great fun.

When I was in school (and as an adult) a day home seemed or seems like a good idea until about 9AM. Once I get up and realize there is nothing to do, I get kind of anxious. I've actually gone back to school or work several times over the past few years.

I missed Tuesday and Wednesday with some horrible virus. I still feel like **** and my stomach is constantly churning. I am a human geyser. I am thinking about going home at noon. I feel that bad.
 
I get bronchitis almost every year, and have since 1999. I was fighting it off most of Dec, but w/ the holidays, NYE and the 4 cold fronts in about 10 days that yo-yo'd the temp so badly, I woke up on NYD thinking I was dead. Cost me a couple of days at works also.

If this is day 3 or 4, you should have your meds by now and not be so sick. I got me some nice cough syrup w/ codeine that kept me quiet through the night after 3 nights of suck.

Oh yeah, the one good thing about this sickness is that it started my new addiction to hot tea (cinnamon / apple w/ a couple of drops of honey - YUMMMMM).
 
Quit your bitching and get back to work...faker. You're going to be even more sick after Sunday.

Sucks Barton...being sick happens and there is nothing you can do about it.

I am always curious which is worse:
1) A horrible hangover ( Alcohol poisioning style)
2) Being so sick you cant move
 
i had E. D. for four straight days. mostly due to being stuck in the playboy mansion.
 
Ya, that was bad enough to not be able to get out of bed.
Laying there watching that game really hurt, thanks for bringing all those memories up though

Bronchitis really sucks.

I used to get it almost every year in my mid-20s through my late 20s. Felt miserable and was visiting my doctor like clockwork the same time every year. Then moved to Houston and no bronchitis. Turns out that I had allergies that would start up and without treatment move into my chest and become bronchitis. Now, with allergy meds at certain times of the year (Nov - Feb), it's been a LONG time since I've had it.

So BH, I feel your pain. I'll try to drink some ML for you this evening. It'll be a tough job, but someone needs to keep up your consumption.

I once vomited in the Capitol rotunda on "Acupuncturists Day" after receiving free acupuncture. I passed out twice, went into a mini-seizure, and woke up with vomit all over myself. I went home, and just felt like **** the rest of the day. Can't say I enjoyed that very much.

I'm off sick today too. The doctor basically told me to tough it out, unless it's strep-throat, which I will find out later today.
 
I think I just slept thru an entire Law & Order SVU marathon ... "sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous".
 
I feel ya, I am on hour 3 of sitting in the waiting room of a quick care place because my knee is killing me.I think I gonna catch something sitting here. I would love anything to be back at the office and away from all these screaming kids and busted up construction workers. Also there's a damn erik estrada infomercial that been on the waiting room tv for 45 ******* minutes.

I am very thankful for hornfans and my blackberry right now!
 
Sorry BH, the ML will have to wait for another day.

Just found out that the Flying Saucer is opening an Austin location (47th and Lamar) today at 4PM.

Just got back from the quack shack and I got the most painful shot I have ever had in my life. ***** tells me she was going to put it in my "hip" then stabs me in the left side of my *** check.

At least I got some pain pills! Was that some Law and Order Marathon?
