Milton Bradley comes unglued

I really hope this isn't a big deal. I LOVE the attitude he plays with. I love how he doesn't give a **** who you are and that you play for the F'ing Red Sox or Yankees. He's 100% and he's all about winning ballgames. I know he can be viewed as a prick but he's been a welcome addition to the team and the clubhouse seems to support him.

hearing what the announcers said makes you realize why he did what he did in the sense that hes done NOTHING wrong this year w/ attitude problems yet the 'media' continues to blast him (and that comes w/ the history that he has created for himself). they basically said he could learn a thing or two from Hamilton about how to just keep your head down and work hard.

saying that, it's def. retarded that he tried to hunt down the announcers for their nonsense.

That's nothing. You should have seen what he did to the Parker Brothers. Sometimes it takes a while to eliminate the contiinuing effects of the stigma you have to take responsibility for creating. It seems as if he's really making more of an effort this year to do that, and he gets frustrated that some people are not acknowledging it.

Milton Bradley takes the game of baseball more seriously than any player I've ever seen. I don't know what else about his life the Kansas City broadcasters think needs to be "turned around." But as a Ranger homie, I hope that never changes.

That guy jumped around like a little girl the other night (we came back to win 6-5) when Kinsler slid in to take the lead in the 9th. I understood the risk we took with him but it's paid dividends. Yeah, the guy is going to get booted out of games and yeah if you say crap about him he will explode sometimes but he is "gangsta" in the good way (if there is a good way). I would like to see him more at DH to keep him healthy but he's a gamer and wants to be at bat when it's on.

BTW, did anyone see him strike out the other night and snap the bat in two? The guy demands production from himself. THAT is being a leader.

Milton does deserve credit for his attitude so far this year. We all know that he came here with some baggage, but to his great credit, he has worked hard at being a ballplayer and a good teammate. Yeh, he is intense, and that sometimes will lead to a mini-explosion - but he cares about baseball and winning. And I've seen nothing to indicate that his teammates don't appreciate it. Contrast that approach with Sidney Ponson...

I admit I was skeptical about aquiring MB, but what a pleasant surprise he's been. I don't mind emotional outbursts when they serve to light a fire under teammates and increase production across the board, which is what MB's seem to do. You're right when you say he's all about winning.

I think he's been very good for the team this year. Him and Hamilton, who has his own set of demons/baggage.

There are jerks among the media/pappartzi. Many have excellent control of their own tempers but take great delight in setting off those with a shorter fuse. Milton Bradley has a short fuse, John McEnroe has a short fuse, Bobby Knight has a short fuse. We've all seen them acting like idiots on camera. Usually you don't see the jerks that set them off -- the cameras and witnesses arrived too late. The "come watch the explosion I set off" jerks are as intentional and deliberate as your average arsonist. They never go to prison and even when they (deservedly) get their butts kicked, it ends up a lot worse on the guy who kicked it.

Bevo-Stevo, every time I hear something about Milton Bradley, I wonder about his buds, the Parker Brothers. Good to know it isn't just me.

MB is a headcase an always has been a headcase and it has kept him from taking his game to the next level. He has always had the tools to be one of the best in today's game. Unfortunately, he can not curb his temper and remain cool under pressure.

People forget that he was injured when the Rangers signed him and he was the only one who insisted he would be ready by the start of the season. And damn if he wasn't. The fire and intensity he brings is allsome.

I did see him break the bat in two. Kinda like a toothpick. He took his frustration out on his bat. And you can tell he's fighting his anger. If he gets called out on strikes he does his best to walk away without looking up.
