Military Ticket donation

Anyone know if there is still a way to donate tickets to military
folks? Have two on HF that have not gotten any hits and would
rather give to someone in the service than sell for nothing on
game day.

like that idea Chuy. BTW, didnt you get on a guitar thread I started a few months back? Good hearing from u

Obviously its a little late for OSU, but if you have this problem again, send me a pm and I'll put you in touch with my Sgt Major (USMC).

Or, actually here's another idea. I know every military recruiter in the Austin area. If you wanted to reward some young hard chargers, that might be a way to go.

You kick so much *** for your intentions. I hope it is contagious. If people cannot sell them or don't want to sell them, give them to a hero, a military person.

This could go for basketball, volleyball, etc... Heroes, every single one of them no matter MOS or service branch. Freaking heroes.

You can call the Fort Hood MWR and see if they will take them. You could probably even specify to a Texas native between the ages of X.

No offense, but there's veterans local. Skip Ft Hood.

Besides, they're Army

How classy and typical. Nice.

Whatever route you choose, bravo for you and I hope it is contagious for others!

LC et al,
I don't see why it is too late for OSU - if you know of anyone who would
love to go have them call me - if they have a military ID I can meet them
before game. I will be hanging around until hr before gametime. Get to
Austin around 11:30 but can call me anytime post 9:30, I'll be on the road.
281-224-9330, If they feel better about it can give me $10 per tic but if
they are yng soldiers they do not have to.

That is awesome. Sure do wish I was closer to home to take you up on it. Haven't been to a game since '05. Hope you are able to hook up a deserving soul.

I guess not, Chuy. I am Army Infantry and don't insult Marines, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard. Every one of them past, present and future is a hero to me.

I may kid around with somebody in person in good fun but not online where intent is sometimes lost with sarcasm as well. But hey, that's just me. I appreciate the job all services and servicemen/women do.

I am in the Army and I am stationed at Fort Hood. I work at III Corps. I can tell you now that you are wasting your time calling the MWR guys. They have way too much in their hands and, simply stated, you are going to get the run around.

I would suggest something like the WTU (Warrior Transition Unit). These are the soldiers that have been injured or wounded in combat and are undergoing rehab either at Fort Hood or in San Antonio. If you want, I will find you a phone number.

If you want info, send me a pm and I will get you some info.
