Mike Stoops: ASU is a Junior College

I'd say he's dead on. I think they admit chimps at ASU. Really it's just a step up from OU.

but the requirements are the same at both schools, just as it is at texas and OU. this is simply sour grapes over some kids that were committed and decided to go to ASU instead.

he has since issued and apology i hear.

In that article it also says that between Arizona and Arizona State that they signed a total of 11 players from the state of Arizona. Only 11? damn...

Stupid Sooners showing their ignorance again.
Entrance requirements are necessary, not sufficient conditions for being accepted into school. It's a requirement
that you have a diploma or GED, neither guarantees your acceptance. Most schools all across the country have the same or very similar requirements.

Oh, and ASU is definitely a junior college.

For an Oklahoma resident to receive automatic admission to OU:

An SAT score
of at least 1090
and
Rank in the top 50%
of your high school graduating class

Well, if Mike gets canned, I hope he can find employment somewhere other than the ou staff. Their defense has not been the same since he left.

Disclaimer: I went to ASU for two years, before transferring to a better school.
Anyways, ASU's average SAT score for entering freshmen is 1083, which is pretty low. Texas' is 1230. That's a difference of 147 points. The average SAT score for students entering Caltech is 1520. 1520-1230 is 290. The point is that maybe it is better to not mock the academics of other schools (something I've been guilty of), because there might be some guys in Pasadena or Cambridge saying the same things about your alma mater.

Maybe he should shut up and focus on beating that "junior college" before he runs his mouth.

Stoops, I wish you'd get out of my life and shut up
wink.gif

Allow me to be the first to mock Cal Tech's business and law schools! And their puny total enrollment, graduate students included, of 2200. Hell, we could fit their entire student body into Jester.
