It reminds me a lot of Five Guys in the DC area. Limited menu, "unique" fries. I find that Mighty Fine's fries get cold too quickly, though. I think they've stopped overcooking their patties since my first trip.
I enjoy the burger but won't go out of my way for it.
MMD, unless Five Guys have gone down in quality since I lived up there, I would very much go out of my way to go there. Now I don't want to try this burger you speak of, or do I?
It's reminiscent of Five Guys in the same way Stephen Baldwin makes you think of his more talented brothers. The color scheme of the restaurant is similar, the burger is about the same size, and they have a similarly limited menu.
Don't go there expecting the same greasy deliciousness as Five Guys, though. Think of it more as Three Guys, and one of them used to work at Rudy's.
k, that makes sense. I guess I did not grasp the exact point you were going for. I was taken aback and then chagrined at the thought of a Five Guys burger being less than freaking fantastic.
My Army duty station (I said duty) was just down the road so we ate there often for lunch. There, Tippy's Taco's and the field were the 3 big eateries for us. Oh, the chow hall.
Is it my favorite place in town to grab a burger? No. However, it is far from mediocre like you make it out to be. If this place was located dowtown or south of the river, you'd be jacking yourself off over it.
