I remember a number of posters on the board pimping Midlake's previous release The Trials of Van Occupanther, I was interested to see if any of you got a chance to take in their latest release.
I got a copy of it a month ago, so I've been able to let it absorb a little. With that being said, I think it sounds absolutely amazing. Wonderful harmonies, great guitar sweeps and beautfiul melodies. While not a "concept album", the lyrics and style take you to what seems to be the middle ages with haunting storylines and wild compositions. Check it out and support Texas musicians!
