No incoming Big 12 freshmen made the teams although Baylor is still in the running for undecided Ieshia Small, 6-0 F from Miami, FL.

I posted a link to an article this past summer about an AAU Team Concept Heat here in Oregon. Three of the girls from that team were named McDonald's All Americans. Kailee Johnson (signed with Stanford) and Jordan Reynolds (signed with Tennessee) are high school teammates here in Portland at Central Catholic. Mercedes Russell of Springfield, OR, signed with Tennessee also. Another member of that AAU team is Jamie Nared of Westview High School; she is ranked #13 in HoopGurlz Class of 2014.

Mercedes Russell's team, Springfield, is 21-3 on the season and currently the #1 ranked team in Class 5A. First round of playoffs begin March 2. Springfield enters the playoffs as the defending Oregon 5A champion.

Jordan Reynolds and Kailee Johnson's team, Central Catholic, is also 21-3 on the season and currently the #4 ranked team in Class 6A. First round of playoffs begin February 27. Central Catholic finished third in last season's 6A tournament.
