Michelada

First thing is the beer, you must do a lager this is a must. You can do it with XX , Corona or even Bud light, remember this is a summer drink so any light lager beer should work fine.

I like to use the small key limes for this, they taste better but you can use the larger limes as well. Soak the rim of your glass with lime juice then dip the rim in salt like you would a margarita.

Squeez about 4 key limes into the glass that is filled with ice or about 2 regular sized limes. Add a dash of tabasco and or valentina. Pour in about half to 3/4 of beer and enjoy.

el chile has the best michelada i have ever had. It is not tomato based though which i prefer.

No offense, but your buddy's mix tastes like marinara sauce. It was as if someone poured a beer into a bowl of spaghetti.

I found the best recipe to be at Ranch 616. No tomato juice at all- Just lime juice, pepper, worcestershire, tabasco and Tajin on the rim. Here is a YouTube clip on how it's done...
