Miami restaurants/bars

headed to miami this weekend and have not been in about 7 years. any good restaurant or bar recommendations in the south beach area?

You might get more responses to this on the "On the Road Again" board, but I'd recommend Lario's restaurant in South Beach. It's owned by Gloria Estefan and serves Cuban food, and I thought it was really tasty, and pretty reasonable on the prices, epsecially for that area which can get really pricey

If you want a great steak go to "prime 112" much better than shulas and a very cool place.

Mark's South Beach (he has 2 or 3 locations, but this one is VERY good)

Look up the HF regular with the ID something like "SHQQKEM97" or something like that. He lives in Miami now.

I always liked the cheaper Cuban joints one block E of Washington Avenue; usedta be I'd get 1/2 a chicken with a massive side of Paella.

For lunch on SoBe, hit up the sidewalk tables @ News Cafe'. You can also get some good Jamaican grub @... um... damn; can't remember the name now. 1 Block W of Ocean Drive, about a block or so N or S of the corner that News Cafe' is on. The guy that owns Island Records used to have this building.

Don't be surprised if this gets moved to On The Road.
