The trio of long-haired teenagers grasped the plaza wall to shield their bodies as hundreds of youths kicked and punched them while filming the beating on cell phone cameras. "Kill the emos," shouted the assailants, who had organized over the Internet to launch the attack in Mexico's central city of Queretaro. After police eventually steamed in and made arrests, the bloody victims lay sobbing on the concrete waiting for ambulances while the mob ran through the nearby streets laughing and cheering.

Seriously though, emo used to be cool... back in 1985... It was hardcore (thus the term emotional hardcore)... listen to Embrace, Rites of Spring, Moss Icon... good, harcore stuff... it was even cool in the mid 90's with post-emo bands like Mineral (from Austin)... The new crap is nothing but pop...

It's all "Chingas o te chingan" down in Mexico. If you don't **** someone else's **** up, you'll end up getting ****** yourself. Emo kids aren't normally on the offensive end, so its no surprise their getting kicked around down there.

The punks got pissed at the emos because they are trying to steal their style? haha I would think they would join together. I had no idea there were that many emos in mexico. I visited last year mostly the country side but I did stay in a mid size city and didnt really notice any emos. At least there were no gun shootings they keep old school with the belt fighting
