What is stupid are the "unwritten" rules in baseball.

You don't bunt or steal a base with a big lead.
You are not supposed to bunt for a base hit when a guy is throwing a no-no.
You don't have to touch second base with control of the ball on a double play.
If the ball beats the runner on a tag out play the runner will be out most of the time even if the tag is missed or late.

They are all stupid.

So the college baseball season start got pushed back so Michigan can play an exhibition game against the Mets, makes sense.

As a Mets fan I am embarrassed for Wagner's actions. You can't expect a college team to bow down to you just because you are a pro team. But I'm more embarrassed with that bum Heilman giving up 4 runs to a college team. He sucks!

100% agree with Wagner. He might of overreacted, but what do you expect from Billy Wagner. A college kid bunting on a pro is the equivalent of a BP pitcher putting one in your ear.

These games are meant to get the MLB players some work, and get college kids a chance of a life time to get a hit off of/strike out a pro. Not to make a million dollar investment risk an injury by running after bunts. Kid seemed to figure that out, since he swung away on the next pitch.
