Mesa Hills Bar

For any of y'all that live in Far West or North Austin, there is a little bar on Greystone, right behind Chinatown, that is a pretty cool place to get a drink or some late night tapas that is called Mesa Hills. Primarily a cafe' during the day, at night after dinner the crowd changes to a bar crowd, esp. after 11 or 12 when all of the other bars in the area are closing. Tuesday nights are Service Industry nights where you can get happy hour prices all night long if you work in a bar or restaurant. Sunday night is karaoke, which they just started but the place was packed on the first night. Every last Saturday of the month is a theme party (tonight's is a Hawaiian Party) with drink specials, door prizes, etc. The last theme party was a Pajama Party and it was a blast! (hot girls in pj's everywhere)

Anyway, if you're looking for a place with a full bar and food until 2 that's in the neighborhood, you might want to check it out!

I've eaten dinner there before, solid place. Bar looks like it could be a decent time.

The bar is getting better and better all the time! It used to be just a small core of regulars, but they've been doing some advertising and some of these different specials and promos to get the crowd bigger and also more fun!

I grew up 2 blocks from MHC. That is a very bad restaurant.

and i can't imagine ever finding a decent looking woman in that place.

i used to live off greystone for over 2 years. never ate there but went once for some drinks. i might have to check it out.

I live down the street and concur. It's a great place.

It was one of my favorite places to eat about 4-5 years ago. I think they changed ownership at some point, as it became very mediocre. I haven't been there in over 3 years.
