YES!!!!!!!

As if it wasn't enough that it has a giant shark leaping out of the ocean to grab an airplane, it gets better.

Lorenzo Lamas. Debbie Gibson. This has win written all over it.

I thought the contending oscar films usually didn't come out until fall.

Is it too soon to make the 'Now we know what happened to the Air France flight' joke?

Edit: I made that joke on twitter, and got a couple hate twits back, so I guess it is too early, sorry ...

Isn't that always the way though? You're driving to work, regular commute, figure you're actually gonna get there early for a change and get a good start on the day, and BAM! Giant shark.

TTT

SyFy channel rolled this turkey out over the weekend with lots of promos, like they really had something.

I had to see it. I was raised on bad 50's sci-fi movies, so I thought my past training had prepared me for it. I was wrong ! This sucker is a real snoozer, like golf on television on a Sunday afternoon.

The Shark and Octopus don't even get together until the last 10 minutes of the movie, almost as an after thought. And the big fight scene consisted of one or two CGI shots that were repeated over and over again. They kept swithcing between our heroes in a submarine and the fight, and every time they'd go back to the fight, they'd just repeat the same shot.

In between CGI scenes is some of the stupidest dialog you've ever heard. This movie must have had a budget of < $100,000.

My favorite part was Lorenzo Lamas as an some kind of all powerful, super secret, government agent who can control everything, including the Navy. He could go on board a nuclear sub and take command, even in a battle situation. Yikes.

I should have skipped this one and gone for "Malibu Shark Attack", which preceded Mega Shark on SyFy Sat evening. At least that one had babes in bikinis.

You're telling me this film did not deliver? Stunned. Absolutely stunned, I am!

On another note, can you actually consider it a "film" if it never actually sees the inside of a movie projector?

ever see the syfy movie about the sharks that had their dna altered and were trained to guard our shores from terrorist attacks and this midget was head of the research team and the guy from the lawnmower man was the crazy general.

I don't know what's more amazing. The fact that it is $19.99 on Amazon or that it's marked down from the original price of $24.99??

Seriously how does a movie like this get made.

There cannot be a person in thier right mind that thought this would be a hit.
What writer would actually right this thinking it would get picked up?
And an even more puzzling question is what studio would actually allow this and financially back this POS.
