Meeting place in Little Rock

Unless someone has a better suggestion, I've found a great sports bar type atmosphere up in Little Rock. It's called "West End Smokehouse and Tavern" which makes it sound a little more downscale than it really is.

Tons of televisions. Nice seating areas. My first impression is that it's a better sports watching environment than any place I go to in Houston. Maybe I'll change my mind after a more extended stay. The only problem with it is I have a feeling it's going to be packed during the tournament.

I'll likely head up there after watching UT's shootaround scheduled from 2:15-2:55 on Thursday. Also, at this point I plan on heading there after the two early sessions on Friday, including UT's game.

West end is a legit place to watch sports. It is pretty awesome. I'll hope to see y'all there.

Well, there is a problem with a live band on Friday and Saturday night starting at 10pm.

Other than that, though, the place is awesome. It's in North Little Rock, though, about 10 miles north of where the arena is located.

I had a great time there again last night.

I haven't tried the Rivermarket area, though. It's downtown, and I didn't want to fight through the crowds.

West End is my only suggestion. If someone else wanted to throw out another one, I'm all ears, although I won't have internet access again until an hour or so after the Longhorn game is over.

I figure a bunch of us will see each other at the game, and we could go from there.

BTW, Little Rock is really pretty. At least the parts from the arena to the hotel. It's not Austin, but it's a nice city. Traffic is surprisingly bad. It's obvious it's grown faster than the infrastructure can support.
