Meat on the Hoof Film

I had heard that an Austin film company was making a movie of "Meat on the Hoof". Is it still in the works?

I read the book years ago, and it was interesting to say the least.

A good story even though it was written by an unhappy-ex. It takes a hard look at how serious college football really is. Yes Coach was tough on us but it is no different at any other 'football factory'. It should required reading for every high-school hotshot in the country.

I know the author had some tough bouts with mental illness and if I recall died homeless. Sad story.

I was thinking of the book while guys like Mangino and Leach were getting fired. DKRs methods wouldnt have made it in todays game, for better or worse.
