It was Andro ..........Sammy had the creatine. I have taken both and they are "interesting" products. The side effects are freaky.
Local media here in OKC are saying that the jar of Andro was placed in his locker to cover up his use of illegal steroids.

Furthermore, LaRussa and every other person involved in management, scouting, ownership........hell , everyone in MLB besides the ten year old bat boys deserves to be held in contempt for being completely complicit while all of this was happening.
Players were being rewarded for taking steroids by receiving gigantic contracts for hitting doped home runs while the owners were raking in millions from fans that were deluded by baseball games that were not played on the level. Not much more than beer league softball.
Anyone in the MLB during that era who denies they knew about steroid use is a complete ******* liar. I have a few Juan Gonzalez rookie cards in my collection followed by some second and third year cards...........he went from being a 180 pound stick figure to having thighs bigger around than my fat ***. I figured it out about 1991 and LaRussa never knew? **** that loser. **** the Cardinals. **** MLB. They have officially replaced the NBA and MLS as my least favorite sport.

I thought his apology was disgusting. I don't need to hear him tell me how "he took the hit" by refusing to come clean before Congress. Taking the hit would have been telling the truth and facing the consequences. He thinks he was a martyr. Truly shameful.
