Guess who is starting for Michigan as a true Freshman? He racked up over 100 yards rushing yesterday against Notre Dame and some more in receving yards. Now I realize that ND in not what they use to be, but McGuffie looked pretty good yesterday.

Somebody remind me why we did not recruit him please. Or was it the other way around, did we want him but he did not want us?
 
Brock Fitzhenry is a pretty good foil to any sort of conspiracy about us not recruiting McGuffie, IMO.

He wasn't interested, and neither were we. That's as far as it goes, and doesn't imply anything towards either side.

Good luck to the kid. Michigan is a good choice for an out-of-state school. I have far more respect for a Texan who goes there than I do for one who goes to OU or Arkansas.
 
Well Bevo, I was hoping that someone among the many users of this site might have some inside information or have heard from reliable sources the facts about his recruitment (or not) from UT. I don't expect everyone who uses this site to know the facts, but someone might. .
 
sure, but how would one determine if a self-proclaimed knowledgeable guy is on the spot or is just full of ****?

MCGuffie was an early committ for Michigan...It's well documented on this board that his dad I believe went there or is from Michigan and he has been always a fan...

He never considered Texas or anyone else but Michigan for that matter...

It's simple, there's no way Texas can get every kid in this state and if we did OU wouldn't have **** to put on the field, much less A&M, LSU or anybody else.
