McDonald's Preview

Did anyone else catch the McDonald's preview on ESPN? I saw some footage of Reed and that was the first time I have seen any. I liked what I saw.

Also, I found Bone's comments interesting. They asked about the pending game with Nimitz (taped before the last game between Nimitz and Dulles) and it was interesting to speak of times of "I." She said of Griner "I beat her once and I hope to beat her again." Hmmmm...team sport last time I checked. This may sound odd coming from me (wink, wink) but there was a smugness that I didn't care for. Maybe being smug is not such a good thing after all.

and i won't go back and forth with you about who's right or wrong....it IS a message board full of opinions. I just wanted to put my opinion out here, as you have.

Yeah, I'm not sure those comments are necessary. It's always tough to completely understand the answers provided in an interview if we're not sure of the context of the question.

LOL...just stating my opinion like you guys are. I also thought the same when they were talking about Griner and Bone's mother made comment about Griner's dunking, saying "we prefer a three point shot because they are worth three point instead of two points" or something to that effect. Call me crazy, but I will take a dunk over a three point shots any day because it is a guaranteed two points. I've seen only two interviews that involved Bone and in both I felt like there were subtle jabs at Griner, which has put me off a bit.

I can say that the reporter did mention that Bone was the number one ranked player until Griner took that position, so maybe that fueled Bone's competitive spirit a little.

As for the "context of the question" it was an interview that I was watching, not as if I was reading a transcript. Commenting on an interview on a nationally televised TV program doesn't seem out of line to me. As you know, I call 'em like I see 'em.

Having said all of that, if Bone wants to sign with UT and do some smack talking, bring it on...
