I argued two years ago that losing him would give us some obstacles in player development, and thus, program stagnation. I didn't predict that we'd lose a bunch of young players to the draft.

I wonder if he's willing or able to head back to Austin in an assistant role. He was a great influence on the 'tweeners on the squad. Now our whole roster seems to be made up of them.

Interesting that Ray Harper has taken over as interim HC. As some may recall, Harper played for Abe Lemons at Texas before transferring to Kentucky Wesleyan as part of the mass exodus of players after Kaiser Bob Weltlich took over the program.

IIRC wasn't Harper from Kentucky?; referred to at the 40 Acres as "the Kenucky rifle" because he was from there and had a deadly long outside shot?
