You mean people and groups who assist in the campaign and/or contribute money are actually doing it for a reason? Wow, this whole time I thought they just enjoyed the parties and excitement of the campaign trail

I'm more concerned with his advisors and neocon vision for foreign and domestic "security" policy. Homeland Security isn't even waiting for HR1955 to pass in the Senate. McCain is a tempermental opportunist of the worst kind and I fully expect him to abuse it as much as he can.
