Mayo declares

Mayo was overrated 2 years ago when he was supposed to be the next Lebron, but now that expectations are lower I think he'll be a good player. I think he could be the next Brandon Roy, and that could be worth the #3 pick after Rose and Beasley.
 
Another early entry that pushes Augustin down the draft.

I think Mayo, Bayless, Rose, and Gordon will all get drafted by a team looking for a point guard or combo guard ahead of Augustin (I think Gordon eventually plays point guard in the NBA). Darren Collison is iffy one way or another. I consider DJ the better point guard, but I have no idea what NBA people will think after watching them work out.

I think there's a chance both Collison and Augustin end up coming back for another year.

This is going to be one of the best guard drafts in years. I have no idea how much that will impact Augustin, if at all, but it's going to be a much weaker draft next year, especially for guards.
 
Except for the fact that he was a junior, I was surprised to see Collison's name floated so fast.

I don't know what it is, but he doesn't strike me as a oh-yeah, no-doubt early entry. I'm not saying he can't play, or couldn't play in the NBA, not at all.
 
i'm not a big fan of eric gordon. People are calling him a better ben gordon but I'm not sure he'll even be as good as regular ben gordon. heh

almost nobody has collison ahead of Augustin. He's a guy who will probably go in the 20s. I think it's possible a few teams would take Lawson over DJ for the upside, but most likely DJ would be the 2nd pure PG after Rose.

I don't think he has much chance of hurting his stock if he comes back to win a championship though, so hopefully thats what he does!
