Getting married in June. Going HERE for the honeymoon. I WILL be going fishing at least one day. I'm open to just about anything but bottom fishing. Anyone used in guides in the area? How were ya'lls trips?

Puerto Aventuras Fishing

It's probably about a 45 minute drive south from where you are staying. We went before the hurricanes so not sure what kind of shape the place is in. We spent most of the day there after our fishing trip.

What kind of fishing? Do you want deep sea or flats/fly fishing? If you want flats/fly fishing, may have to go further south to some place like casa blanca.

Not sure if fishing there is worth your time and money. That area isn't known for their fishing. The last time I went to Cancun was with some buddies about 4 years ago. 1/2 of them took an early morning deep sea fishing trip. Came back, sunburnt, tired and all they caught were baracudas.

This isn't Cabo. I would skip the fishing if I were you.

I fish, I fish a lot. I have never heard the term "knockdowns" and by no means I have ever heard of anyone ever getting 54 anythings fishing for salt water game fish.
