Massage Therapist in Austin

My back has been killing me lately and I want to find a good massage therapist in the Austin area. Does anyone have any recommendations and contact info? I don't want to go to one of the spas or salons either.

I would have suggested a chiropractor. They'll fix you right up. Don't completely discount the theraputic benefits of spas or salons though, but you will probably want to get your back into shape first.

do you require a happy ending?

The guy has back pain, didin't mention a doctor and wants to see a massage therapist? That has chiropractor written all over it!! I would stress that it is an alternative to a doctor, but no more than a massage. I would try a chiro before a massage therapist any day (that is, if I didn't want a happy ending!).

Come on guys. I don't want a chiropractor. I'm looking for an hour massage(full body), with emphasis on my lower back. Again, I know people here have had massages before, so I'm looking for a name/reference and contact info for someone that has a good reputation here in Austin. Anyone?

Does a great full body, very reasonably priced for the time she spends, & a really nice lady.

Let me say this, I think chiropractors can be helpful for certain things. But keep this in mind. At UT taking premed classes those who made As went to medical school, those who made Bs went to dental school, and those who made Cs went to osteopathic school. But those who made Ds and Fs all became chiropractors. I'm not trying to bag an the profession but it is a fact.
