Goodwin breaks an incredible HS long jump record (which included an impressive all-time jumpers list ike Dion Bentley, Carl Lewis...)!! He's suppose to be playing for Mack next season too.

This dude is a track stud though (nearly qualifying for Worlds as a junior).... He can do it all. Long Jump, Triple Jump, 100m, 200m.

I, for one, would love to see him take off from outside the 5 yd line and score.

If he could throw in a flip, ala Redding, I'd give him extra style points.
 
The word on him when he was being recruited is that he's a very good football player who just happens to be a track stud too. I can see Goodwin morphing into a very dangerous receiver by the time he's a junior or senior, if he has any kind of hands at all.
 
Just read the latest headline on the young man. A 10.2 100...that is blazing.

We have, and continue to get, some great skill receivers. JMO, but I would love to see him develop as a free safety. Takes less practice time, as he will be a 2 sport player. Not sure if he has great 5-step speed, or top end speed, but I have longed to have a mega-fast db, like Deion Sanders. We have had some great db's in the past, and just think what Akina could do with that kind of speed!

A 5' 10" 167 pound safety? Man I hope you're wrong. His profile states he will battle size limitations as a wideout. What makes you think that translates well to a db?

On second thought. Could you imagine what coach boom could do with this guy as a rushend/linebacker? In the shotgun he could intercept the snap and run it back for touchdowns.
