Ranked #1 in the state of Texas, Mario Edwards Jr. has committed to Florida State

I still have memories of the John Mackovic days when Bobby Bowden swooped in on a private jet and reeled in David Warren.

Mack Brown since then has dominated Texas, but it still hurts to see a Texas stud leave for Florida State or any out-of-state school.

I hope he sacks Muschamps entire offense. Nothing against Boom, but he now coaches in a league that most members and their fans would/do proudly cheat. I thought Urban Meyer was a pompous arse, but he didn't fit in a renegade league of LSU, bama, Auburn, Tenn, MissSt, and Kent. Though guys seem to dare the NCAA to stop them.

Have to agree with OldHippie. Despite the reason, he went to the ACC, to the world he chose Free Shoe U. over Texas, aggy, ou, and this gives others reason to stop and listen to outside voices.

To any kid that wants the FSU, private jet you can have him. Don't blame Mackovic. Mackovic hauled in a ton of talent and has some damn good offenses. He did his job of recruiting in a very difficult time. He was no Mack and company but he did a good job. When Mack got here the cupboard was not bare.
