Marianne Faithful on Letterman

Dave gave her big buildup, but egad this song sounds, uh, awful. Lots of great instrumentation that tends to overshadow her. But her voice is low and song is not very smooth sounding like I would expect from her. Esp. with an album titled "Easy Come Easy Go."

I didn't see it, but her vocals were an acquired taste 40 years ago. I can't imagine them suddenly being more palitable at age 62.
 
Even back in the 60's I think she only had a couple of songs of any significance. That was a little before my time, but I vaguely recall a rather unremarkable career.
 
For you young folx:
She recorded "As Tears Go By" back in the 60s - same song done by the Rolling Stones.

I honestly thought she was dead.
 
I'll admit that I like Marianne's rendition of "As Tears Go By" better than the Stones'.
