Something tells me Whaley is gonna make folks forget most of the ones who didn't choose the good guys.

I do agree that we should take a shot at any top player, any position, anywhere...there's no reason the Horns can't cherry pick a great player or two every year out-of-state.

As for whiffing on Scott, etc...they haven't played well enough to make anybody forget who did sign with the Horns. Adrian Peterson is the only running back in the last several years that was a huge loss, given that the Horns were a favorite of his when he was younger. Nobody knows who Seastrunk will choose, but Texas will have a better running game this coming season, with who we already have on campus.

starting a running play from a standstill with no full back might have something to do with it.

I love our previous success, but we have replaced much of our running game with a short pass.

Unless they want to pick up a blitzing linebacker for the majority of the time, Texas will have tough sledding here.

I am not so sure that is a bad thing, with the QB's we have in the pipe line.
