Manny to LA, Bay to Boston...

Jones & Pierre aren't going to like how much time they'll be spending on the pine. That's 7 years, $80 mil combined just chillin'...
 
Red Sox fan here, bad trade for Boston. They gave up 3 players to receive 1. And one of the 3 players was Manny whom they are going to pay the remainder of his contract. Who knows how Bay handles the pressure. I don't mind losing Manny after his comments this week, but couldn't they have gotten some bullpen help thrown in there too?

It will be interesting to see how motivated Manny is. Brandon Moss could be a decent player with some experience. Who knows with Hansen.
 
A. Jones does not do much better than I could in baseball this year. Okay, I would be a .001 hitter with zero HR's and O RBI's, etc...but still, not too far away from him. Many speculate he had to be on roids in the past and this is the real him. Payroll issue or not, this is a great move for the Dodgers. F Jones.
 
Manny has been complaining every year. He always wants to be traded,then shuts up and plays well the rest of the year. He's a real pain in the ***.

Craig Hansen is a Scott Boras guy. He slipped in at AA for the Sox and was outstanding. He became a real head case and got lost in the shuffle.
 
Beau, nice scenario. Manny probably wouldnt know the difference.

Still this guy can rake like very few who have ever played the game and he isnt done by any means. Great pickup for LA who really needs to make some noise after some down years.

The Sox must have really been pissed, but I think this has more to do with the fact that the Angels flat kicked their *** so they know their chances of winning it all are very slim.
 
Greenwell was decent; O'Leary? Way too much homersim going on in that post. But when it startswith the arrogant question about Pirate fans, Ishould have known.

Hopefully Beantown stays bogged down. Out of the playofs would work for me.
 
They're interchangeable in all of those categories. Manny had like .010 higher slugging or something like that. Bay can actually dive for a ball, too... I'm convinced Manny's dumbass "roll on top of the ball" play against the Angels sealed his fate.

I was glad to see Hansen go, but wondering why Moss had to. We got rid of Murphy a year ago and he's doing well. Was hoping that Moss would stay. As long as they keep Masterston, I'm happy.
