Even if you're not a fan of the RedSox or Manny, this is fairly entertaining. The author is not quite up to the "BarkingCarnival" standards, but there are some humorous parts nonetheless.

I normally like Simmons a lot, but I wasn't crazy about the article. It rambled even more than he usually does, the footnotes were really annoying, and his goal seemed to pin 100% of the blame on Boras.

And most importantly, it glosses over the single most important incident in the whole situation -- Manny faked an injury. I don't care if Boras told him to do it or not, a decent human being doesn't fake an injury in a pennant race and leave his teammates hanging out to dry. I don't see how that's really forgivable.

(Personally, I don't think the Sox suspended him because they didn't want to burn bridges to Boras with Texiera being on the market this offseason.)

Not to be unrealistic but the idea of Manny returning to Boston in a Dodger uniform would be better than a Hollywood script.
Just a warning to Dodger fans or where ever Manny spends his twilight years. Manny will at some point will return to being Manny. He can't help it.
